I started training in 1988 in Sankukai under Sensei Barry Strannock 7^th dan

Sensei went back to South Africa in1991 and he asked Sensei Tommy to take over his association which included the Reigate clubs and two or three in the Bournemouth area, Ken Collingwood and myself started our own club as 1^st kyu’s in ’92 then shortly after we took on the club that we were still training at as our Instructor Sensei Simon Wood 3^rd dan stopped training so Tommy gave us his blessing to continue with that club which we did, I gained my Shodan-Ho in 1997 and my Shodan in 2002 I still retain that rank today, I started my own club in Salisbury in 1999 and ran it until 2004  I moved to Shaftesbury in 2003 and trying to run the club proved a strain with all the travelling so when my most senior student gained his Shodan I allowed him to take the club over and I then started a club up in Shaftesbury which I still run today boasting more that 40 students.
